Welcome

AutismAwareness.Net was established as an information resource for families living with autism and as a channel to raise public awareness of the disorder through fundraising, media and public relations activities (view the recent media campaign). The ultimate goal is to achieve warranted recognition for the rights of people with autism at local and national level, so that their needs are met across a range of services.

This website is designed to serve as a support for people dealing with autism in a number of ways. Firstly, through the provision of basic information about various aspects relating to autism, such as diagnosis, types and traits (autism in brief), therapies and educational approaches (interventions) and available financial supports.

Secondly, a key feature of this site is the extensive listing of other websites under many different headings, from diet and nutrition to research and vaccines. While this is naturally not an exhaustive list, these useful links will hopefully point you in the right direction for finding further specific information.

As a constantly evolving resource, we welcome your feedback and commentary to improve this website and will endeavour to help you with any questions or queries you may have. So please feel free to contact us.
